So the fighting over Carbon offsetting, eco woods, buying carbon credits and renewable energy continues a pace. It all seems like a big show on the inside and the outside as far as I am concerned. Would it not make a lot more sense to focus on developing technology for filtering coal stacks, China is not going to stop burning coal, so at least negate the future impact. If renewable energy in western countries is pushed harder, a significant impact on our carbon emissions could quickly be made.

I agree that countries that are coming under increased pressure should be helped, they after all are suffering as a result of the gains the west has enjoyed.
